The Consultative Meeting on Very Young Adolescents (VYA), aged 10-14, aims to bring together experts and stakeholders to achieve clarity on the successes and gaps within the evidence base related to this critical age group. The goal is to develop a collaborative agenda that aligns with efforts to meet the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by advancing programs and policies for VYAs.
Following a briefing on the current evidence regarding VYAs, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from successful program examples, engage in thematic discussions, and set priorities for collaboration to address research, programmatic, and policy gaps.
This session is open to anyone interested in improving outcomes for VYAs across various sectors. We welcome researchers, program implementers, policymakers, donors, and youth stakeholders. In particular, we encourage participation from program managers who can share valuable, hands-on insights from their practical experiences working with this age group.
