Program

The program for the 2025 International Conference on Family Planning is now available, including detailed sessions and abstracts. Plenary agendas are also live for review.

Co-chairs (moderators) for each session have been invited, and we expect all to confirm their participation. Guidance for co-chairs will be posted on the website by November 11. Presenters are encouraged to review the schedule carefully to avoid time conflicts. If a conflict arises, please contact us at supportfp@fpconference2011.org as soon as possible.

The 2025 Conference will feature over 140 sessions during its three-day span, including more than 340 individual oral presentations, 45 panel presentations, 170 posters, and 10 interactive skill-building sessions. The full program is outlined below for further details.

The Conference will officially open with a plenary session at 4:00 PM on November 29, in the auditorium, followed by a poolside reception and cultural entertainment. Starting Wednesday, each day will begin with a plenary at 8:30 AM, where invited speakers will present their perspectives on family planning research and practices. On December 1, in recognition of World AIDS Day, the plenary will focus on the intersection of HIV and family planning.

Throughout the Conference, there will be 3-4 time blocks per day, with 12-13 concurrent scientific and technical sessions in each block. These sessions will consist of 4-5 thematically connected presentations or panels. Each session will have co-chairs who will facilitate discussions. Youth-focused sessions will incorporate interactive activities alongside traditional presentations. On Thursday and Friday, seven interactive sessions hosted by the Implementing Best Practices Consortium will center on “Knowledge to Action.” In addition, six poster sessions will cover diverse research and practice themes. The closing plenary, scheduled for Friday from 4:00-5:30 PM, will bring together representatives from donor organizations, governments, and civil society to discuss the future of family planning.

Lunch will be provided from Wednesday to Friday. Additionally, a series of luncheon table discussions with selected experts will take place each day, with special networking opportunities for emerging leaders in family planning.

A variety of organization-sponsored auxiliary sessions, including workshops, informational sessions, betting company and receptions, will be available for participants. Further skill-building and auxiliary meetings are planned both before and after the main Conference.
